The Dragon of Hahn Creek

"The Dragon of Hahn Creek" is an 8-foot-tall stainless steel sculpture created for the Mount Vernon Area Arts Council in Mt. Vernon, Ohio.

Featuring a dynamic grind-pattern finish, the piece captures and reflects the shifting light and colors of its surroundings, creating an ever-changing surface that shimmers like water. The whimsical dragonfly, rendered in flowing stainless forms, appears to dart playfully among sculpted cattails rising from the base—an homage to the natural life along nearby Hahn Creek.

Designed to celebrate the movement, light, and vitality of the local landscape, the sculpture invites viewers to pause and appreciate the beauty found in motion and reflection.
